I have this headcanon, that angels can tell when someone is a vessel and to what angel they belong just by looking at their souls. Because vessel’s soul have something in common with the grace of that particular angel. For example, Sam’s soul is unusually bright. Dean’s soul is warmth and almost looks like flames (Michael’s Sword).
So when Lucifer turns around and sees Dean’s soul for the first time here, he’s not taken aback because of the hunter or the gun that can’t kill him (and he knows that), but because for the fraction of a second it’s Michael standing in front of him. The brother he hasn’t seen in centuries. It’s no wonder he goes on to ramble about Michael right after this scene.
The FCC sided with Comcast and decided to let ISPs censor the internet. The Internet needs to stop this from happening: http://cms.fightforthefuture.org/tellfcc/
Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a “ fast lane” of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. The proposal reverses the FCC’s previous commitment to net neutrality and open internet and allows ISP’s like Comcast or Verizon to slow down and censor services that don’t pay the toll.
We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim. But there is still hope. The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through. If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.
We need to stop the FCC now. Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesday’s announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward.
This is a critical moment. In the last few weeks more than 65,000 people have taken action with us. Can you help us get to 80,000 by the end of the day today?

Dean Winchester was born in 1979.
Hermione Granger was born in 1979.
Dean Winchester and Hermione Granger are the same age….
This post really messed me up
Sam Winchester is younger than Harry Potter…
And BBC Sherlock was born in 1980, so Sherlock is the same age as Harry and Ron and is younger than Hermione.
If you woke up tomorrow, and your internet looked like this, what would you do?
Imagine all your favorite websites taking forever to load, while you get annoying notifications from your ISP suggesting you switch to one of their approved “Fast Lane” sites.
Think about what we would lose: all the weird, alternative, interesting, and enlightening stuff that makes the Internet so much cooler than mainstream Cable TV. What if the only news sites you could reliably connect to were the ones that had deals with companies like Comcast and Verizon?
On September 10th, just a few days before the FCC’s comment deadline, public interest organizations are issuing an open, international call for websites and internet users to unite for an “Internet Slowdown” to show the world what the web would be like if Team Cable gets their way and trashes net neutrality. Net neutrality is hard to explain, so our hope is that this action will help SHOW the world what’s really at stake if we lose the open Internet.
If you’ve got a website, blog or tumblr, get the code to join the #InternetSlowdown here: https://battleforthenet.com/sept10th
Everyone else, here’s a quick list of things you can do to help spread the word about the slowdown: http://tumblr.fightforthefuture.org/post/96020972118/be-a-part-of-the-great-internet-slowdown
Ever have trouble finding boots in the right color? Tried spray-painting them and ended up with a dry, cracked mess?
A fantastic friend recently advised me to paint leather boots (and any other leather goods) with floral paint. This is a spray paint that is light and flexible enough to use on live flowers. Above are the Poison Ivy boots I painted for a friend, which turned out fantastic.
One thing though: Wear them while you paint them, and maybe stretch your foot around in between coats. I didn’t think of this, and while the paint did not crack at all, it started to split where the boots were stretched from walking. Next time I paint some boots, I’ll let you know if I was able to fix this problem.
The paint I used is called Design Master, and you can find it at Michael’s or Joann Fabrics. In the stores near me, Michael’s had a better selection of colors and a slightly better price, but that may not be true everywhere. This color is “Holiday Green.”
Great alternative to spray rubber and plasti-dip or bootcovers, and cheaper than leather paint! Reminder that Michaels and JoAnns both frequently offer 50% off coupons and will match competitor coupons and offers!!
If you have a light colored base and don’t have the ability to color the boot with a spray (like if you need to draw details) use fabric paint. It takes more coats but it’s made for things you move in like t-shirts and other knit material. I used it for a boot before and have worn them. No flakes. Also this expands your color library as well as types of finishes they provide.
I’ve also used Rustoleum spray paint on pleather for the silver portion of my snk belt system. Wore it twice and no peeling or running. I did seal my spray with Mod Podge as well.
Never use acrylic paint. While it’s fine on canvas I’ve seen it come back chipped from other cosplayers. Do not waste money on Liquitex Acrylic paint, it’s really not made for clothes and at $8 a bottle you might want to reconsider.
Michele Carragher, the head embroider on Game of Thrones, made this awesome tutorial to show how she created the dragonscale fabric that appears on several of Daenarys’ costumes in S3 and S4.
Ms. Carragher says that the dragonscale fabric was created because “In season 3 the Costume Designer Michele Clapton wanted a Dragonscale like textured embroidery that starts to emerge on three of Daenery’s costumes, which becomes heavier and more pronounced, growing and evolving as the season progresses” (Carragher).
In stages 9-11 of the tutorial we see how the textile evolves from lightly to heavily embellished. This progression is meant to illustrate Daenarys’ personal growth and the growth of her dragons (source).
Don’t care about Game of Thrones but that shit is cool
I didn’t learn about sewing as much as I learned that, no matter what she currently gets, Ms Carragher isn’t paid enough.

So I’ve been a homestuck cosplayer for a little while, and spent some time around other homestuck cosplayers. Now I love trolls and I love troll cosplayers, but one of my pet peeves is how their makeup just seems to get EVERYWHERE. At Soycon 2011, after only a few hours of…
